About Me

I am from Denver, Colorado and moved out here when I was a senior in high school.  I graduated from Arizona State University and have been teaching special education in the Gilbert School District for 17 years.  I taught Functional SCILLS at the elementary level for 7 years, 3 years in junior high, and have been teaching Academic SCILLS for the past 7 years.   I have also been "living" special education for 26 years because I have a wonderful, handsome, 26 year old son who has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.  We also have 3 amazing pets.....Maximus is our 8 year old English Bulldog, who is also an emotional support/therapy pet, Lolo is our rescue terrier mix, and Tebow is our orange tabby cat.  In my free time, I enjoy cooking, running, golfing, boot camp workouts and watching and going to live sporting events.
