Subject or Grade: 7th/8th grade ESAP
In our Emotional Social Adjustment Program we believe that socially and emotionally disabled students benefit from a highly structured, supportive, therapeutic learning environment, which remediates academic, behavioral and social difficulties, based on an individualized educational plan. This service is developed and provided by a multidisciplinary team. The ESAP curriculum and instructional approach is designed to enhance self-esteem, develop prosocial skills, and develop more effective social and emotional problem-solving skills within the educational setting.
Hi! My name is Juliana Daaku and I have been with Gilbert Public Schools for two years. I am originally from California and moved to Arizona for college. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelor's in Social Work. I went on to graduate from Grand Canyon University with my Master of Education in Special Education. I am currently working on my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Policy through the University of Northern Colorado. I love working with this population of students and would not change it for any other class!
