At a Special Governing Board meeting on Friday, January 30, 2026, the Governing Board unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Jared Ryan as the next Superintendent of Gilbert Public Schools, beginning in the 2026/27 school year.

GPS junior highs and middle schools welcomed sixth-grade students to their campuses for a preview of the next step in their learning adventure. Through an initiative called Level Up, incoming students and families explored the academics, routines, and programs that make each campus a unique option for the next school year.

65 GPS employees were recently honored for reaching a milestone of 25 years of service with the district at a special recognition breakfast. These dedicated GPS Family members were celebrated for their lasting impact on students, schools, and the community.
