Welcome to the Baseball program here at GrJHS. If your student is interested in trying out, please read the following important information carefully.

Tryout Dates and Requirements

Tryouts begin Monday, March 23, 2026 and will run for five days, with final team decisions announced on Friday, March 27th.

Students must come to tryouts with a white t-shirt and their tryout number written large and clear on both the front and the back. Please print or write in black or dark blue.

Time & Location

Tryouts will run from 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM each day.

Please ensure your player is picked up no later than 5:50 PM.

Practice times will run from 3:45 to 5:45 Monday-Thursday. There will be notice if practices are cancelled. (subject to change)

Any other conflicts and all communication will be made through the ParentSquare app.

Athletic Clearance

Before trying out, all students must have their athletic clearance completed online and approved by the front office. Without clearance, they will not be permitted to participate.

Attire & Equipment

·         Baseball pants (optional)

·         Cleats or Tennis shoes (required)

·         Water bottle (required)

·         Baseball bat (optional). Students may use their personal bats for tryouts but must have a legal bat for the season: -3 or -5 for                7th, -3 for 8th.

·         No outside club team or organization apparel is permitted during tryouts

For safety and program integrity, parents are not allowed in the gym or on campus during tryouts. We are excited to see your athletes showcase their skills, teamwork, and Grizzly pride this season.

Team Selection

We will keep a minimum of 16 players per team. Students trying out are expected to be dedicated to the team and sport, with attendance required at all practices and games. More information on Rules and Equipment requirements will be addressed after the team has been selected.
