Greenfield Grizzlies Girls Flag Football Information

2025-2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the Girls Flag Football program to GrJHS!  We are excited to begin another season and look forward to seeing out student-athletes showcase their effort, teamwork and Grizzly Pride.  If your student is interested in trying out for the team, please review the following important information carefully.

Tryout Dates and Requirements

Tryouts begin Monday, March 23, 2026 and will run for five days, with final team decisions announced on Friday, March 27th.

Students must come to tryouts with a white t-shirt and their tryout number written clearly and largely on both the front and back.  Numbers should be written in black or dark blue marker so they are easy for coaches to read.

Time & Location

Tryouts will take place each day from 3:45PM to 5:15PM.

Please make sure your student is picked up no later than 5:20PM

Practice schedules will be announced during the week of tryouts.  Most practices will likely take place after school.

All communication, schedule updates, and announcements will be shared through the ParentSquare app, so please make sure you are connected and checking it regularly.

Athletic Clearance

Before participating in tryouts, all students must have their athletic clearance completed online and approved by the front office. Without clearance, they will not be permitted to participate.

Attire & Equipment

Students should come prepared with the following:

·         Comfortable athletic clothing

·         Cleats or tennis shoes (required)

·         Water bottle (required)

Please note: No outside club team or organization apparel is permitted during tryouts.

Campus Expectations During Tryouts

For safety and program integrity, parents and spectators are not permitted to be present during tryouts.

Team Selection

The team will carry a maximum of 21 players.  Students who try out should be prepared to show commitment to the program.  Attendance at all practices and games is expected for those selected t the team.

Additional information regarding team rules, expectations, and equipment requirements will be shared once teams have been finalized.

We are excited to begin the season and look forward to working with our athletes as they develop their skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
