Away for the Day - Student Cell Phone Use

The new policy for the 2025/26 school year includes ‘Away for the Day’ for K-8 at our elementary and junior highs. This policy is in place to promote student learning and well-being by reducing distractions, improving focus, and enhancing overall student well-being during the school day.

Behind the A Rating: The Drive for Continuous Improvement at GPS

At Gilbert Public Schools, excellence doesn't come by accident. It comes from a non-negotiable commitment to student success across the district, which has earned GPS an A-rating for three consecutive years since the return of district letter grades - an achievement that wouldn’t be possible without extensive work being done behind the scenes at both the campus and district levels.

The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) has released the 2024-25 School Letter Grades. For the 2024-25 school year Gilbert Public Schools has achieved an ‘A’ letter grade for our school district. Further, all GPS schools have achieved either an ‘A’ or ‘B’ letter grade, rating them as excellent or highly performing by the Arizona Department of Education.
